To date, the district is home to 59,000 manufacturing enterprises, and has built or accredited 405 basic-level smart factories, 67 advanced-level smart factories, and one excellent-level smart factory, forming a “three-tier manufacturing intelligence system”.
According to Chinese news platform Sohu, the Bao’an District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology has supported the district’s smart factory expansion through targeted training sessions, one-on-one guidance on technical upgrades, and by inviting benchmark companies such as Sunwoda and Shichuangyi to share practical experiences, providing a robust digital model that can be replicated throughout the district.
