Nearly 7,000 people visited the Macau New Neighbourhood show flats between 1 and 6 November, according to an announcement by Macau Urban Renewal (MUR), the company responsible for the project.
The response to the show room flats has been positive, MUR says, highlighting “many people” who were “clearly showing their intention to buy a flat by asking MUR staff members…about the sales procedure.”
In an interview with Macao Daily, one prospective buyer, surnamed Li, said the affordability of the units was a big draw.

“If you compare it with the market price in Macao, it is very cheap,” he said, adding that “the environment is very comfortable.”
Macao News previously reported that the flats cost approximately 33,067 patacas per square metre.
MUR says it has been gathering data and feedback from visitors, which will be used to devise the application system. It has yet to appoint a realtor.
Located on Hengqin Island, the Macao New Neighbourhood is made up of 27 residential buildings, with a total of roughly 4,000 units up for sale.
