The Macao government is to launch another Electronic Consumption Benefit Plan at a cost of MOP 5.92 billion with every resident receiving MOP 8,000.
The maximum daily usage limit will be MOP 300. The benefit can be used from 28 October to 30 June 2023.
The subsidy funds will be automatically transferred to the same mobile payment method or the consumption card previously indicated by the beneficiary resident.
Secretary for Administration and Justice, Andre Cheong Weng Chon, said that the new subsidy together with the Living Subsidy Plan can generate a consumption amount of more than MOP 10 billion that will help the local economy of the city that has been hit very hard by the pandemic.
