Telecom operator CTM has reduced its landline charges for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and clients living in social housing flats.

According to CTM, the lower charges took effect last Friday. The “ordinary business category” charges have been reduced by 20 per cent, while the landline charges for social housing units have been lowered by up to 54 per cent.

CTM underlined that the lower charges have taken effect “automatically” so customers do not have to apply for them.

The lower charges come after CTM’s fee reduction for its internet service and speed enhancement announced in February that covered the ordinary business category, as well as residential fibre broadband and Dedicated Internet Service Access services.

CTM said in the statement that in response to the Covid-19 pandemic it aims to assist SMEs in “accelerating smart transformation at a more affordable cost”.
