The Covid-19 quarantine period for travellers who enter Macao from Hong Kong, Taiwan and foreign countries – or who have a history of travelling to those places within the past 10 days – will be cut from 10 to 7 days starting from 6 August, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced.
In addition, the number of self-monitoring days will also be cut from seven to three days, during which travellers will be assigned a yellow Macao Health Code. They will also have to undergo a nucleic acid test (NAT) on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th day after being released from the quarantine (or days 8, 9, 10, 12 and 14 since arriving in Macao).
Previously, Macao’s quarantine period for all travellers entering Macao from Hong Kong, Taiwan or foreign countries was reduced from 14 to 10 days on 15 June.
