Authorities in Zhuhai and Macao have agreed that starting from 12 pm 19 October, travellers crossing the border from Macao must hold a certificate of negative nucleic acid test (NAT) results within 48 hours.
Anyone who has had close contact with confirmed cases of Covid-19 may only enter Zhuhai seven days after they complete quarantine. Residents of the Red Code Zones and Yellow Code Zones can only enter Zhuhai seven days after the zone reopens. Persons who have performed ‘high-risk’ functions can only enter Zhuhai 14 days after they have ceased to engage in such work.
The existing (Zhuhai) outbound epidemic prevention and control measures remain unchanged.
The Zhuhai-Macao Joint Prevention and Control Working Group in Macao has emphasised that travellers should comply with the requirements of epidemic prevention measures at the Zhuhai-Macao border.
Zhuhai health authorities previously announced that from 4 October, anyone crossing the border from Macao would be exempted from the 14-day mandatory quarantine period as long as they hold both a Covid-19 vaccination certificate and a negative nucleic acid test (NAT) which has been carried out within 48 hours.
