A swathe of major cultural and artistic events have been cancelled due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in Macao.

The last day of the 25th Lusofonia Festival together with the Chinese and Portuguese Picture Book Fair and wine tasting, which were part of the 4th Encounter in Macao – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, were all called off.

The Cultural Heritage Protection Law Promotion Festival 2022, the Macao Chinese Orchestra Season Opening Concert 2022-23 Impressions of the Taihang Mountains and the charity session Contemporary Meets Tradition in the 34th Macao International Music Festival, were also halted.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau said that other arrangements will be announced in due course, The Macau Post Daily reported.
