From today onwards (9 October), all individuals arriving in Beijing from Macao will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine period, along with seven-days of health monitoring.

The decision was taken by mainland Chinese authorities and announced on Friday by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

“People arriving from Macao in Beijing will undergo nucleic acid tests in line with the requirements relevant to quarantine,” said a statement released by the Government Information Bureau. The mainland Chinese authorities have said that travelling requirements will be adjusted in accordance with Macao’s pandemic development.
