Macao’s Covid-19 cases have hit a total of 941 as of midnight last night, with 89 new cases. Cases found in the community are still significantly higher (66) than those found under management and control (23), the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has announced.

As of 8 am today, a total of 13,010 people are under follow up, which include 2,220 close contacts, 8,140 individuals with overlapping itineraries, 665 secondary contacts, 332 general contacts and 712 accompanying persons.

Meanwhile, as of 8 am today, a total of 488,638 people have been sampled in the fourth round of mass nucleic acid testing (NAT) that began at 9 am yesterday and will conclude at 6 pm today – 388,563 people have tested negative while 42 batches of pooled samples came back positive. It is unclear whether or not the samples are “10+1” or “6+1”.

The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has called on everyone in Macao, who has not done the fourth NAT, to make an appointment for the test as soon as possible via this link.

Only those with prior negative self-administered rapid antigen test (RAT) results uploaded on the Macao Health Code can enter NAT centres. Those with positive RAT results must contact an ambulance by calling 119, 120 or 2857 2222.

Those who have not gone for their fourth NAT by 6 pm today will have their health code turn yellow and will be taken by the police to a designated location for testing. They will have to wait until the NAT result comes back negative. Those refusing to do the test will be subject to 14 days of medical observation.
