The 69th Macau Grand Prix – Family Carnival which was due to take place this weekend in Praça do Tap Seac has been cancelled to comply with Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control measures.

The Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee said it made the decision to cancel the carnival after serious consideration and changes in the Covid-19 situation in Macao, and thanked members of the public for their support.

The Sports Bureau announced earlier this week that facilities such as the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion, Mong-Ha Sports Centre and Olympic Sports Centre Stadium in Taipa will be closed until further notice due to the citywide nucleic acid testing drive, The Macau Post Daily reported.
