The 2022 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair that was scheduled to take place at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo between 29-31 July has been postponed until further notice due to the city’s ongoing Covid-19 outbreak that began last month.

According to the co-organisers, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and Guangdong Province’s Department of Commerce, the event’s new date will be announced later, while updates are available from the fair’s official website.

The organisers are “closely monitoring the pandemic situation and actively cooperating with relevant guidelines issued by the Health Bureau” and will notify exhibitors, participants and other relevant parties about the changes.

Aimed at strengthening cooperation between Guangdong and Macao while helping enterprises from both sides promote their brands, the event last year was postponed from mid year until September because of the latest Covid-19 pandemic developments in the surrounding regions.

Held annually since 2009, the fair covers a wide range of industries including food and beverage, health, science and innovation, home appliances, daily necessities, cultural and creative industries and the “Belt and Road specialties”, according to IPIM.
