Starting today, all civil servants in Macao must take a rapid antigen test (RAT) before going to work, Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) Director Kou Peng Kuan announced yesterday.

They must also wear KN95 or higher-standard masks at all times during the entire work period, said Kou. Visitors to government departments or buildings must also wear a mask when entering the premises.

The SAFP Director also asked all government departments to urge visitors to use KN95 or higher-standard masks when on government’s premises.

However, people no longer need to scan the venue’s QR code at all government’s premises, although everyone entering these places are still required to show their Macao Health Codes.

The Macao government currently employs around 38,000 civil servants.
