Hong Kong continues to see a declining trend in coronavirus cases with about 28 cases expected on Friday.
Kiang Wu Hospital will join the government’s nucleic acid testing (NAT) programme on Monday, adding 1,000 places for COVID-19 testing per day.
Under the nucleic acid testing (NAT scheme, the first test is free of charge for all Macao residents and non-resident workers (informally known as blue card holders), but follow-up tests cost MOP 120 each.
The University Hospital run by the private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) has applied to join the government’s NAT scheme.
From 6 am today, all arrivals who have been in Nantang town of Lufeng city in Guangdong province within the 14 days prior to their entry into Macao must undergo 14 days of quarantine and medical observation at one of the government’s “quarantine hotels”.
The Macao government has lifted its quarantine requirement for all arrivals who have been in Dalian city in Liaoning province within the 14 days prior to their entry into Macao.
Residents who had signed up for the helicopter ride experience but didn’t get picked in the lucky draw will get another chance on Tuesday as the government is adding 1,008 places for the ride next month.
The police recorded 10 child sexual abuse cases in the first half of this year, double the number compared with the same period of last year.
