The Macau government announced today that the national and local flags will fly at half-mast in the special administrative region Saturday to mourn the nation’s COVID-19 victims.

A national mourning will be held on Saturday to commemorate those who succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
A group of local theatre practitioners submitted a letter to both the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture and Cultural Affairs Bureau, presenting suggestions on how the government could help the performing arts industry hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The COVID-19 infection rate of those returning to Macau from overseas has so far been only 0.84%.
The registration for government-issued smartcards will end next Wednesday and all work related to the collection of the smartcards has been completed.
