Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 1 was issued at 8 pm tonight and will remain in effect for a period of time, according to the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG).
The tropical depression is located about 710 km east-southeast of Macao and is moving towards the western coast of Guangdong province.
This is a precautionary signal and the SMG advises the public to remain vigilant and pay attention to the latest news. Vessels are also advised to take shelter
