The People’s Republic of China – including Macau and Hong Kong – and South Korea no longer considered a COVID-19 high incidence region in Thailand, announced the Tourism Authority of Thailand today.

According to the statement, these two countries are no longer “Disease Infected Zones of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak” as the “situation of the outbreak has improved in the two countries.”

However, this does not mean visitors from these two countries can visit Thailand “anytime soon”.

Closure of all entry points into Thailand will remain in place until May 31, 2020, under their “Emergency Decree”.
