The 7th Macau Industrial Product Show will take place from 1 to 4 October, and there will be some special products on offer for the general public that will be sold for just one pataca, Wang Sai Man, a vice-chairman of the board of directors of one of the main organisers, the Industrial Association of Macau, said on Wednesday.

Wang made the remarks at a press conference at the Industrial Association of Macau’s headquarters in Rua do Dr Pedro José Lobo.

Wang said that until 7 August, local businesses, brands and businesses that sell Portuguese-speaking countries’ products can register for a booth at the show via an online platform. This year the organisers decided to lower the fee for each booth to MOP 1,800, adding that although the original price for a booth was MOP 12,000 it was already reduced to MOP 3,800 last year.

“Since the show is happening during the [mainland’s] Golden Week, we are expecting around 100,000 visitors,” Wang told the press conference.

Wang added that the show will sell some one-pataca items, electronic products and other goods, adding that the organisers are expecting 200 booths at the event.

Wang pledged that the organisers will implement safety measures to prevent the spreading of COVID-19, such as taking people’s temperatures, insisting on the wearing of facemasks and increasing the number of entrance and exits.

The show will be held at the Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Anyone interested in signing up for a booth can register on the website www.macauips.com.
