New board of directors appointed to TDM

The director of GCS, Chan Lou, the president of the Holy House of Mercy Antonio Freitas and legislator Vong Hin Fai have been appointed as new members of the non-executive board of directors of TDM.

The director of Government Information Bureau (GCS), Inês Chan Lou, the president of the Holy House of Mercy, António José de Freitas and legislator-cum-lawyer Vong Hin Fai have been appointed as new members of the non-executive board of directors of Teledifusão de Macau, S.A (TDM), according to the Official Gazette today.

The new board members will start their jobs from 1 September.

The Gazette also inform that Victor Chan Chi Ping, former GCS director and presently adviser of the Secretary for Economy and Finance and board member of a public company that will be based in Hengqin island, leave the board of directors in TDM.

Together with Chan, also leaving the board of directors are Sou Chiu Fai and Manuel Gonçalves Pires Júnior.

Pires Júnior, current chairman of the Executive Committee, will leave the company at his request at the end of August.

No information was given about Pires Júnior’ substitute at the local broadcaster TDM.

The chairman of the Executive Committee is chosen by the members of the board.

According to Radio Macau, José Manuel de Oliveira Rodrigues (who presides) is currently on the board of directors, with a mandate until August 2021, as well as the current members of the Executive Committee Frederico do Rosário, John Lai and Cristina Ho Hoi Leng, with a mandate until December, and Lo Song Man, with a mandate until August 2021.
