Macau has had no new imported COVID-19 cases for 35 consecutive days since April 8.
Only two patients are still under treatment for COVID-19 after one more of Macau’s 45 COVID-19 patients was discharged from hospital today, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.
The discharged patient is a 12-year-old male Macau resident who returned to Macau on March 20 from the United Kingdom.
He had gone into medical observation in one of Macau’s government-designated “quarantine hotels” before being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease on March 23.
Upon his discharge today, he will start his 14-day recovery period isolation in the Public Health Clinical Centre in Coloane.
There have only been 45 confirmed novel coronavirus cases in Macau, with 43 patients already discharged and no deaths.

Meanwhile, head of the Public Relations Division of the Public Security Police (PSP) Lei Tak Fai shared that the total number of entries and exits to and from Macau was around 40,000, a 22 per cent increase of 7,100 compared to previous days.
