The Macau government announced Sunday that it will temporarily use the San Tung Fong Commercial Inn South Wing – located in Avenida Almeida Ribeiro – as the seventh quarantine hotel.
According to the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), San Tung Fong Commercial Inn has 89 rooms available for all arrivals to be placed under medical observation, except those from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The new designated hotel to be used from Sunday as a venue for medical observation is near Rua Visconde Paço de Arcos in the Inner Harbour.
The other six are Metropole Hotel located in downtown Macau, Pousada Marina Infante (Cotai), Regency Art, Golden Crown China and Fortune (Taipa) and Grand Coloane (Coloane).
The seven hotels provide a total of 1,733 rooms.
The MGTO representative said on Saturday, during the daily press conference on the virus situation, that until the end of the month, around 800 Macau residents will arrive from high COVID-19 contaminated areas.
