The ashes of late Liaison Office of the People’s Central Government in Macau Director Zheng Xiaosong were interred at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in Beijing on Saturday, the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council said in a statement.

The Judiciary Police (PJ) said Monday there was no sign of foul play in the death of Central People’s Government Liaison Office in Macau Director Zheng Xiaosong, but declined to elaborate on why his death was “unsuspicious”.
The head of Chinese central government’s liaison office in Macau has died in a fall from his home, Beijing authorities said on Sunday.
Zheng Xiaosong noted that Sunday (April 15) was National Security Education Day as stipulated by the country’s National Security Law.
Central People’s Government Liaison Office Director Zheng Xiaosong told a Spring Festival reception Thursday that his office will cooperate with any Macau people as long as they “acknowledge the nation” and respect the powers held by the central government in accordance with the nation’s Constitution and the Macau Basic Law.
Liaison Office in Macau Director Zheng Xiaosong says that he will further promote and enhance exchanges and cooperation between Macau and the mainland. Zheng also says he believes that Macau will be more prosperous with the strong backing of the central government.
Newly-appointed Central People’s Government Liaison Office in Macau Director Zheng Xiaosong has vowed that he will familiarise himself with Macau’s “public sentiment’ as quickly as possible, according to a statement from the office on Friday.
