Two Hong Kong men who were undergoing their 14-day quarantine at the Sheraton Grand hotel in Cotai left their respective guestrooms for a chat in the corridor on Sunday, thereby breaching Macao’s official quarantine rules.

The Sheraton Hotel will once again return to its normal hospitality role no later than 14 August, while the Golden Crown China Hotel will be used for medical observation starting 1 August.
The Macao government announced tonight that it will use the Sheraton Hotel – in Cotai – as a government-designated hotel for quarantine once again.

Only four “quarantine hotels” are still operating: Pousada Marina Infante in Cotai, Golden Crown China Hotel opposite the local airport in Taipa, Jai Alai in Zape, and a section of the Sheraton Grand hotel in Cotai.
