A second government-designated hotel for the local government’s quarantine measure – the Golden Crown China Hotel – opened Tuesday night.

The Macau government prohibited the entrance in the territory, from 00:00 March 18, to all non-residents according to an Executive Order from the Chief Executive published on Tuesday in the Macau Gazette.
With effect from 00:00 Tuesday, all those who have been to a foreign country within the past 14 days prior to their entry into Macau must stay under medical surveillance for 14 days in a place designated by the Health Bureau (SSM).
As of midnight, whoever arrives in the territory from any country or region — with the exception of Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong — will have to be quarantined for 14 days.
The Macau government extended Saturday its quarantine measures for arrivals to all of the 26 nations in the Schengen Area as well as the UK, US, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil.
The Hong Kong government says all arrivals from Europe’s Shengen bloc and South Korea will have to isolate themselves at home for 14 days starting March 17 (Tuesday).
The Thai government has now enhanced prevention measures for COVID-19.
The Macau government has imposed 14-day medical surveillance in isolation on arrivals who had been to Italy or Iran within the past 14 days prior to their entry into Macau.
Anyone, including locals, who have been in South Korea 14 days before entering Macau will stay under medical surveillance for 14 days.
