Macau International Airport has cancelled 5,220 flights and has only 20 daily flights scheduled to operate in May.

At least four airlines are planned to use the modified Taipa Ferry Terminal (TFT) on becoming an auxiliary passenger terminal for the Macau International Airport (MIA).
All air passengers – including Macau residents – must obtain a certificate confirming that they have tested negative for COVID-19, before they are allowed to board their flight to Macau.
A large part of the Taipa Ferry Terminal will be converted into the Macau International Airport’s Terminal 2, which will be connected to the nearby airport complex through a fenced-off “restricted area” corridor in line with international aviation security rules.
The Health Bureau urged arrivals to cooperate with anti-epidemic personnel at the city’s various border checkpoints.
The local airport expects 10.35 million passengers this year, which would be an increase of about 8% from last year.
Macau International Airport handled a record 9.6 million passengers last year, a year-on-year increase of 16%.
