Local authorities imposed status after the discovery of 12 positive Covid-19 cases on 18 June that has resulted in Macao’s worst outbreak since the pandemic began.
Measure which starts 6 August applies to travellers coming from HK, Taiwan and foreign countries; self-monitoring period decreased from 7 to 3 days.
Over 450,000 samples collected in 14th Citywide NAT with no positive results so far; city’s Covid-19 tally remains at 1,821.
Citywide testing currently underway while government says everyone must take daily rapid antigen test through 1 August.
Total number of people under follow up same as yesterday; NAT results for Key Groups, Key Areas and people working away from home in the last 24 hours all negative.
All people in Macao must wear a surgical facemask or a higher-standard facemask – such as KN95 – when leaving their homes.
