The Macau government is keeping in close contact with the national authorities responsible for public health and disease control on the latest developments relating to the outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan.
The government said in a statement last night that it has installed temperature measuring equipment at all local border checkpoints and also reinforced its sanitary inspection measures at the local airport, in particular for flights arriving from Wuhan.
The local government raised its infectious disease alert level to 3, which denotes a “serious” situation.
Health control measures, such as requiring air passengers arriving in Macau from Wuhan to fill in a form regarding their health condition, are in place at the local airport.
