Nine years on from its launch, the investment programme has netted 6 billion euros in return for awarding 10,170 visas.
Nearly 5,000 Chinese have successfully applied over the past decade, while Portuguese-speaking Brazil takes second place.
However, China still invests the most in the residency scheme, followed by Brazil, the US, Turkey and South Africa.
