Gaming in Macau generates revenue of US$3.2 billion in March

Gross casino gaming revenues in Macau rose by 22.2% in March to 25.950 billion patacas (US$3.244 billion), according to the Macau Games Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

Gross casino gaming revenues in Macau rose by 22.2% in March to 25.950 billion patacas (US$3.244 billion), according to the Macau Games Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

Gaming revenues in February was 24.3 billion patacas (US$3.037 billion).

In cumulative terms, gross revenue from games of chance increased 20.5% to 76.510 billion patacas (US$9.56 billion),

In 2017, gross revenue from casino gaming grew 19.1% year-on-year to 265.743 billion patacas (US$33.217 billion).

At the end of 2017, there were 40 casinos, of which 22 were run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau) and one by MGM Grand Paradise with a total of 6,419 gambling tables and 15,622 slot machines.

Two of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau’s casinos – Macau Palace and Greek Mythology – are provisionally suspended, according to the DICJ.
