A total of 10,452 residential units were sold last year, 339 more than in 2016, the Finance Services Bureau (DSF) announced Monday.
The DSF statistics are based on stamp duty records.
The price per square metre rose 17 percent year on year to 100,569 patacas.
Some 74 percent of the units were sold on the Macau peninsula, averaging 91,403 patacas per square metre.
A total of 335 units were sold in Coloane, averaging 129,517 patacas per square metre.
The average price per square metre of the 2,356 units sold in Taipa stood at 115,315 patacas.
