The new Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macau) took office on Thursday.
Xu Yingzhen served for several years as Commercial Counsellor of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of China (equivalent to Director-General level).
Xu replaced Chang Hexi that has been leading the Forum Macau in the past 8 years.
“The new Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau has extensive experience in foreign affairs and good knowledge of the markets of Portuguese-speaking Countries. She also provided support to previous editions of the Ministerial Conferences of Forum Macau” said in a statement.
Macau will host this coming semester the V Ministerial Conference for the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
