The update is the latest initiative to help frustrated residents and travellers with one of the city’s most pressing problems: finding a ride.
Authorities have already promised to add 300 more taxis to the city’s fleet. Demand might see that number grow to 500.
Some analysts say Macao needs at least 1,000 more taxis on the road but industry advocates have come up with an alternative set of calculations.
