Raimundo do Rosário, has ordered the commencement of disciplinary procedures to assess the internal workings of the Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau.
The report says that the weather bureau’s hoisting of typhoon signals simply relied on Fong’s personal judgement and decisions.
Chan revoked Fong’s pension announcement request as he had not applied to retire at least 90 days in advance as required by public service regulations. The Pension Fund is under Chan’s portfolio.
