The bridge connects central and southern parts of the country and is nearly a kilometre long, with the capability of carrying trucks up to 50 tonnes.

Operation of the 1.6-kilometre line, which connects Seac Pai Van station and a station at the new Islands Healthcare Complex, is expected to begin next year.
The 1,600-metre line will feature two stations – one at the new Islands hospital complex – and is due to open by Christmas 2023.
