Hospital visitations are once again allowed at the public Conde S. Januário Hospital Centre but, for the time being, only in the evening and under certain restrictions, the Health Bureau (SSM) has announced.

According to an SSM statement on Sunday, members of the public can now visit patients at the hospital from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. However, afternoon visits (from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) are still banned. Besides, a string of restrictions apply. For instance, only two people can visit a room at the same time, while visitors should not bring infants and children younger than six with them.

Visitors also have to wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present their health code to be allowed to enter the hospital.

The statement also pointed out that all public health centres and stations have restarted all their services.

The Health Bureau had suspended all public hospital visits in late January in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak. However, the bureau had arranged video visitations for special cases.
