Maritime transports between Macau and Hong Kong to stop at Monday mid-night

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Carrie Lam has announced Monday the closure of all border crossings with mainland China to shut out the coronavirus, except for the Shenzhen Bay joint checkpoint and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, Carrie Lam has announced Monday the closure of all border crossings with mainland China to shut out the coronavirus, except for the Shenzhen Bay joint checkpoint and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.

According to South China Morning Post, the Hong Kong Chief Executive said the major land border crossings at Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau would be shut down at one minute past midnight on Tuesday, along with the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal.

The city’s international airport would also remain open, Chief Executive Carrie Lam said, as she announced the further restrictions.

The government of Macau has yet to comment on the Hong Kong decision.
