Macao’s observatory has forecast that the mercury will drop to a chilly 17 degrees Celsius at night on Friday and Saturday.

According to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau, the temperature will range between 17 and 20 degrees on Friday and 17 and 21 degrees on Saturday, which would be this year’s coldest autumn temperature so far.

The weather station predicted that the lowest nighttime temperature will gradually rise to 21 degrees next Tuesday, when the highest daytime temperature is forecast to reach 27 degrees.

Macao’s meteorologists attributed the falling temperature later this week to an “easterly airstream that is affecting Macao.”

The mercury stood at 27 degrees Celsius this afternoon.
