As Tropical Storm Sinlaku is moving away from the 800-kilometre radius of Macao, all tropical cyclone signals and storm surge warning signals were cancelled at 2 am today, according to a statement by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG).

The Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 had been in effect since 8 pm on Friday.

Under the influence of an easterly airstream, there will be occasional strong winds in Macao, the statement forecast, adding that due to the simultaneous effect of astronomical tide, flooding will occur in the Inner Harbor area today and tomorrow between 6 am and 10 am. The bureau said it expected floodwaters to be less than 0.3 metres in height.

The bureau urged the public to take precautionary measures against the flooding.
