The government on Thursday launched a website dedicated to news and information in different formats related to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), according to a statement by the Government Information Bureau (GCS).

The website features official news and information in three languages – Chinese, Portuguese and English, as well as pictures and videos. The website aims to provide members of the public with easier access to the news and information related to the anniversary, the statement said.

According to the Macau Post Daily, the local government will host a string of activities before and on October 1 – National Day, including a flag-raising ceremony in the Golden Lotus Square (Praça Flor de Lótus Dourado) in Zape and a reception at Macau Tower on September 29, to mark the PRC’s 70th anniversary, the statement said, adding that a raft of official entities will organise their own events to celebrate the anniversary.
