Power utility CEM Ambassadors Team and Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM) members on Thursday visited 20 households in need in Areia Preta and Iao Hon to provide free safety inspections of electrical installations to ensure the safe use of electricity.

It is one of the first activities the Ambassadors Team has organised since the resumption of the team’s outreach caring service, which was suspended because of the COVID-19 epidemic.

More than 20 CEM Ambassadors and FAOM volunteers joined the activity where they shared pandemic-related health information and energy-saving tips with the families.

The group also gave the families some daily essentials and carried out inspections of electrical installations. In case any abnormalities were detected, they would be followed up under CEM Community Programme.

Principal Advisor to CEM Executive Committee Benjamin Yu who led the team on the activity said that he was pleased that their caring activities have resumed so that they could provide more help to those in need, cheer people up and spread some positive vibes to the city.
