Lei Wai Seng, a clinical director of the public hospital, said during Thursday’s press conference that the seven new COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment were in good condition.

Meanwhile, Health Bureau (SSM) Director Lei Chin Ion said that the 57 Macau residents who were evacuated from Hubei province on March 7 will complete their 14-day quarantine at the bureau’s Public Health Clinical Centre in Coloane today (Friday), when they will go into 14-day home quarantine, after all of them have tested negative for the novel coronavirus in all their three nucleic acid tests. Lei said that none of them has shown any COVID-19 symptoms.

Lei also said that none of the medical staff, Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) officials and crew members on the charter plane airlifting the 57 Macau residents from Hubei have shown any COVID-19 symptoms, adding that the local government’s task to airlift the 57 residents “has been smoothly accomplished”.
