Lou Pak Sang appointed director of DSEDJ
Lou Pak Sang has been appointed the director of the new Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) from February 2021 onward.
Lou Pak Sang has been appointed the director of the new Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) from February 2021 onward, according to the official statement from the Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture.
Lou is the current director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ), which will be merged with the Higher Education Bureau (DSES) to form the DSEDJ. His appointment will be for a period of one year.
Lou has a Bachelor of Arts from the Taiwan Normal University and a Master of Education (Educational Psychology) from the University of Macau (UM). He previously worked as a teacher at the Luso-Chinese Secondary School from 1987 to 1997, then became the school supervisor of the DSEJ from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 to 2009, he became the DSEJ School Supervision coordinator then an adviser of the Office of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture from 2009 to 2011. He became the DSEJ deputy director from 2011 to 2018, then the DSEJ director since 2018.
The three new DSEDJ deputy directors are Kong Chi Meng, Teng Sio Hong and Iun Pui Iun. All three appointments will also last for a period of one year.
Kong had been the DSEJ deputy director since 2018, Teng had been the director of the Higher Education Coordination Department of the DSES since 2019 and Iun had been the director of School Management and Administration Department of the DSEJ from 2012 to 2019.
