The Stanley Ho Hung Sun funeral procession will take place today at the Hong Kong Funeral Home.

Ho, the founder of Macao gaming companies STDM and SJM as well as Hong Kong-based shipping operator and property developer Shun Tak Holdings, died in Hong Kong on May 26, aged 98.

Ho was the recipient of Hong Kong’s Grand Bauhinia Medal and Macao’s Grand Lotus Medal of Honour. He was also a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

According to a statement from Mazarine Asia Pacific communication group on Thursday, the pallbearers comprise CPPCC National Committee Vice Chairmen Tung Chee-hwa and Edmund Ho Hau Wah, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Central People’s Government Liaison Office in Hong Kong Deputy Director Tan Tieniu, Macau Secretary for Economy and Finance Lei Wai Nong, Chairman and CEO of the Bank of East Asia David Li Kwok-po, Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited Charles Lee Yeh-kwong and Hopewell Holdings Chairman Gordon Wu Ying-sheung.

The statement said that the funeral officiant will be SJM Vice Chairman Ambrose So Shu Fai. Pansy Ho Chiu-king will represent the family to read out a message of condolences from a national leader and the list of names who sent the family messages of condolences, while Lawrence Ho Yau-lung will present words of appreciation on behalf of the family.

Eulogies will be presented by Tung, University of Hong Kong President Tsui Lap-Chee, Charles Lee and Fok Ying Tung Group Chairman Timothy Fok Tsun-ting.
