The authorities will ban all unmanned aircraft activity over the peninsula during this year’s three-day Macau Grand Prix, which begins tomorrow, to ensure that the event will take place in a safe environment, the Macao Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) said in a statement on Wednesday.
“To ensure … that the races can be carried out smoothly”, the Macao Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) will ban all unmanned aircraft activities on 20-22 November over the peninsula, based on Article 66 of Macao’s Air Navigation Regulation (Executive Order No. 64/2019). With the exception of unmanned aircraft operations by the local government, all other unmanned aircraft activities over the peninsula between tomorrow and Sunday. Violators face a fine between MOP 2,000 and MOP 20,000.
