Macao’s health authorities added nine new Yellow Code Zones yesterday, with the total number of buildings assigned with a yellow health code now standing at 17, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced.

Residents living in these buildings – which include Edíficio Pak Wai (Block 4), Hou Kei Fa Un amongst others – will need to undergo four NATs within five days.

This week, local health authorities changed how buildings in Macao are classified red or yellow zones. Now a building will only be listed as a Red Code Zone if at least two households have been diagnosed with Covid-19, while a Yellow Code Zone means only one household in a building has been diagnosed with the disease.

Under the new re-classification, there are currently no Red Code Zones in Macao.
