All branches of the city’s 31 banks and 12 insurance institutions are to suspend services to the public between 22 to 24 June (Wednesday to Friday) given the current Covid-19 outbreak, the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) has announced.

Online banking and ATM services are to continue to function normally with the AMCM confirming there is currently sufficient cash at ATMs for withdrawals by most residents.

Macao’s banks (with only 11 headquarters locally registered) account for 6,000 employees.
