A total of 96 Macao residents stranded in Shanghai due to the pandemic restrictions finally arrived in Macao last night and are currently in isolation between 7-14 days at the newest quarantine hotel, Sheraton Grand Macao in Cotai.

Aboard the special Air Macau flight NX135 were 88 students who had been waiting for a flight home for several weeks. The plane touched down at Macau International Airport in Taipa at 7 pm.

According to the Education and Youth Development Bureau, a total of 115 Macao residents registered for the special flight but only 96 actually made it home. The bureau did not reveal the reasons for those who did not board the flight.
