The upcoming “Cities of Gastronomy Gather in Hou Kong”, which is organised by Shunde Federation and Commercial Union Association of Macau, has invited four “famous” local and mainland chefs to the city to share their cooking experiences, according to a statement provided by the association.
The association hosted a press conference about the event at The Plaza Restaurant in Zape on Monday.
Hou Kong is one of Macao’s several ancient Chinese names.
According to the statement, the event will be held on 3-4 December at the Wynn Macau Ballroom and The Plaza Restaurant. The association has invited chefs from Chengdu, Macao, Shunde and Yangzhou to share their culinary skills and culture at the event.
The statement said that there will also be a charity dinner, prepared by the chefs for companies to take part in the event. Each ticket will cost MOP 2,000 and each table will cost MOP 14,000. The statement said that all the money raised will be donated to local charities.
The statement also pointed out that there will be a free tasting event for residents and tourists to try the dishes prepared by the chefs on 4 December from 3-5 pm at The Plaza Restaurant.
